Previous to the renovation, this home had a kitchen with a load-bearing wall and a flex room that was essentially an unusable space. In order to make the home functional, maximize the square footage, and create a natural flow through each room, the general contractors at Kay2 Contracting reworked the layout of the home.
We blocked off the old main entrance. A new main entrance was created that leads to a new mudroom and home office. In the kitchen, we removed a wall in order to open up the space for an open concept kitchen, living, and dining room. We also updated the layout of the entrance to the bathrooms.
To make the entire main floor more functional, an experienced designer took the existing layout and created a strategy and plan to remove walls, update entrances, and renovate each space for a finished home that is comfortable and inviting for everyone.
